While the monetary side of NFTs remains elusive to my monocellular brain, their lol factor is all too obvious. And apparently I'm not the only one having fun with NFTs, because it takes a very special person to create and promote drawings of scrotums, in all their shriveled glory. Not to mention the even "more special" type of human being willing to collect these virtual entities only a 3 year old could be proud of.

Not judging or anything, everybody is free to enjoy whatever virtual abomination that tickles their fancy. You could call me old school, but when it comes to pixelated overpriced and overhyped pictures I like something more "inspirational" if you get my drift, something with a little more "pick me up" to brighten my day.

Punks were very successful as NFTs on Hive and I think something with a broader appeal could bring substantially more exposure and traffic to the blockchain. Because a real success creates hype and demand from outside an ecosystem not just from within. Dogs and cats have proven very successful topics in the crypto world in the past, with crypto kitties and freakin' doge coin, so I'm confident there are other very popular topics that aren't sufficiently explored at the moment, but it will take someone with more than 2 brain cells to rub together in order to make something spectacular happen.
