Here are 4 tips which you can use to improve your aim on in fps games.

1. Crosshair placement is something that you develop over time and with experience. It does help a ton to watch twitch streamers or good youtubers and seeing where they put their crosshair. It also helps to always be consciously thinking about where to put it and where people are going to peek from. This is something everyone can constantly work on! And its different for everybody. This is as it doesn't only include the verticality of the placement of your crosshair but also includes how far away you need to keep your crosshair horizontally. This is as everyone has different reaction times, different refresh rates of your monitors, and different ping.
2. Raw aim is something you can improve. You can use aim softwares which I find to be most efficient. I personally recommend having a set playlist that you use daily to warm up and improve your aim. Things such as "taim"'s playlists which I use myself. You can also improve this by going into the range as nothing competes with in game time. You can use softwares such as Aimlabs or Kovaaks.
3. Recoil control is something you can also improve. You can spend time in the range and using various guns and see how accurate you can keep it over a period of time. You can also go more in depth by practicing spray transfers.
4. Movement is something that is a lot more nuanced and something that you will feel have more of an effect the higher ranks you go. This can range from things like counter strafing, the way you peek, what types of peeking methods you use, and things like resetting your spray by moving around.
