Welcome to the another round of our Weekly Spotlight, where we shine a big, bright light on the funniest submissions from the community!

This spotlight is our way of celebrating those comedy gems that made us snort, giggle, choke on our coffee, or literally LOL in public (yes, we’ve all been there). Like I said, the spotlight is to showcase the most funny post for the week, it might come from our weekly prompt, or random post in the community, so come make the most funny posts you can.

Some weeks, we might only have one spotlight post. Other weeks, we might have ten! It all depends on how funny the submissions are, not kinda funny or I smiled internally funny, but bust-a-gut, tears-down-your-face funny, Yes that kind of funny gets the spotlight.

So, if your post didn’t make it this week, don’t sweat it. Come back stronger, funnier, and even more ridiculous next time. The spotlight isn’t for everyone, it’s earned, not given. 😎

That evening, a beautiful young lady walked past our compound. Suddenly, we started hearing, “Siii siii…” - that sound boys make when they're trying to get a fine girl's attention but don’t know her name. It's common in Nigeria, especially in the East. The boy kept going, “Siii siii pan geeh pan geeh!” 😂 We all burst out laughing when we realized he was trying to say, “Siii siii, fine girl, fine girl!”

My aunt paused from washing, and turned towards her daughter whose drama was shockingly surprising. Then I pointed towards the direction of the woman who was now standing, and talking to one of the soldiers.

As the woman moved again, T. Mama picked up the song. Once the woman stops, she also stops.

The curvy woman turned around sharply. Her eyes scanned our corridor.
