Ladies and birthday photos

I* finally took the bold step to make my first post here. It feels so good*

I'm not a righteous person, but I'm very mindful of what I share on my social media handles, especially when it comes to sexiness or nudes. I like it though; I like to see those posts, and I like to view those WhatsApp statuses containing tempting pictures, but I don't share mine because I have a lot of people looking up to me.

Sometime last year, I woke up one early morning around 5:00am to meet Ella's message notification from WhatsApp. From notification, I dragged it down to see if I could read the message from there in order to snub her, but I couldn't. The message reads:

Goodmorning

That's it; she sent 8 photos.

Ella was my coursemate in school, and we don't really vibe when we were in school, We exchanged contacts in school via assignment's heat, and ever since then, our contacts have been saved on each other's phones. We only talk whenever she has an inquiry to make; likewise me.

Since I couldn't get the details of the message, I entered WhatsApp, clicked on the messages, and what befell my eyes were birthday photos snapped in a Nicki Minaj's pattern. Ella is the slim type, but I don't know she did it to appear perfectly with Nicki Minaj's body.

There was no written message(say, informing me it's her birthday) attached on the photos she sent, but I connoted it's her birthday, and she wants me to see her birthday look.

I kindly dropped a few lines of sweet birthday messages.
Immediately after the message dropped, she appeared on line and was like, "Please upload me to your status."

Hold on, let us dig into this issue with the ladies a little.
Is it only me that sees this act of ladies begging someone to post their pictures on their birthday as childish? I don't know who initiated the idea; it's very wrong! I see it as awkward as anything.
I know ladies reading this will silently skip this part.

"Okay, I'll post it. Happy birthday once again," I replied, and she responded with a thank you.

The pictures were sexually fine—the kind of photo that if I post it on my timeline, some guys on my contact list will come requesting to meet her—but on the other side, it's not a picture I can post on my timeline.

I killed the idea of posting it; after all, we've not been talking since, and she can't just pop up from nowhere with this kind of request. I peacefully left online to attend to my life outside.

I was doing that when an unknown number called me on the phone. I picked up the call; it was Ella. "It's Ella's your coursemate; you don't want to post my photo?"

"No, not like that. I've been busy since I left online; I could have posted it then, but I had an emergency call. Sorry, I'm coming online to post it." I said.

"Okay, I'm waiting, ooo!"

After we dropped the call, I began to ponder on how the photo posting was so serious to her to the extent that she called on phone to remind me. Could it be that she'll make money out of it? I deliberated on a lot of things and couldn't think of anything.

Thank goodness there's privacy settings on WhatsApp whereby I can set the people to view the status. I logged on to WhatsApp and changed the status view privacy to allow only her to view the status.

I posted, she viewed and thanked at me...She didn't know that the status was meant for only her.

Thank you!

This is quite a weird story.
What I want to to know is why you couldn't just tell her that you couldn't post it. I mean if she valued the relationship you guys had, then I'm sure it wouldn't have been a big deal. But then again, I'm just wondering.
I also find it weird when people send their pictures to people they don't relate with to help them to post, I feel like it's a desperate seek for external validation. I mean it's not my business at the end of the day.

Thanks for sharing

I really wish this comment could get to every lady. They should stop that act, it doesn't make a sense at all.

I hate it too when they send those photos when I didn't request for it. It's even more annoying when we don't even talk often. In my case, I ask them to delete it from my inbox. Not gonna lie. No be person gimme data😂😂😂

Serious? You tell them to delete? Oh my God!
I need this kind of boldness.
On a serious note, what these ladies are doing is not fair at all

This story was hilarious. I am a lady and I can say I don't like how some ladies beg people to upload them. It kinda off me.
