"Cirque Du Freak - Vampire Mountain" - Chapters 6-10 - My Thoughts

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

Chapters Read: 6-10

This series is so inspiring and simply fantastic. I'll keep praising it no matter how repetitive it may be HA. I keep brainstorming my own book ideas as I read this. Whether or not I ever write my own book, I'm simply having a good time and will try to enjoy the story for now.

The series feels like a proper epic, as I've said before. The way it spans a life is so fascinating. Learning more about Mr. Tiny is also interesting. He's basically a god, which is rather obvious. Truly one of the most fascinating characters or ideas of a character I've ever read about. It's one thing to have a super powerful being as a character like this, but it's another thing to actually do it and do it well in a story as a writer. I'm so curious to learn more about him (again).

Harkat Mulds finally talks! Let's go! The second Little Person dies without any sort of implication surrounding it's identity. But my overactive brain wonders if even that nonchalantness does in fact mean something. When Harkat is asked if they should bury the Little Person, Harkat simply says no I truly don't care. Which is interesting because from what I understand, Harkat is actually pretty nice. The Little Person, along with Harkat, literally saved Darren's life from the bear attack. Which by the way, that bear attack scene was pretty intense.

But back to the dead Little Person, my gut tells me maybe it was in fact Steve. But I truly don't know. Maybe I'll never know. Maybe it was just a random Little Person. Maybe it's that one wild Prince whose name eludes me. But also, Harkat doesn't even know who he himself was in his past life. So therefore I doubt he'd know who that second Little Person was. Was it Darren though? Ugh.

Re-learning that Harkat is a ghost is also really interesting. Him not knowing his contract with Mr. Tiny, or his past life or anything is trippy. It's funny how it never dawned on me back then to wonder if anyone else is Harkat or whatever. I guess I'm just older now and hindsight is 20/20.

I keep thinking back to early in the series for some reason. I remember how Mr. Tiny eventually says that I believe four people have the chance to vanquish the Vampaneze Lord, but I'm likely not remembering the terms or circumstances of that exactly. Nevertheless, I wonder how much they're all intertwined. Darren, Steve and Mr. Crepsley were at the Cirque together early in the series. But I don't think Harkat had joined the Cirque that early. And none of the other people who can end Steve are around at that point I don't think.

But whatever I'm thinking too much on that LOL.

The journey is practically over now and they've reached Vampire Mountain! Gavner joining and the wolves joining was fun. I don't think when I first read this I properly envisioned everything being at night enough, I also don't remember remembering how everything was snowy for the most part, although I think maybe I did.

Nevertheless as I said before I love having snow involved in epic fantasy tales!

Cirque Du Freak might really be competing with Harry Potter as my all time favorite at this point. Although I am highly looking forward to reading Harry Potter again especially with the show coming out around Christmas.

I've got so much reading to do even beyond this core three! I may be doing a lot more writing myself eventually as a matter of fact.

Anyway this was a jumbled book post but there's no rules to this. HA. Roughly halfway done with Vampire Mountain!
