"Cirque Du Freak - Vampire Mountain" - Chapters 11-15 - My Thoughts

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
Chapters Read: 11-15
Now these were some great chapters! Iconic characters were met, and awesome vampire lore was learned! Truly some of the most memorable chapters overall.
Kurda Smahlt/Harkat Mulds is one of the most interesting characters ever. They/he is arguably equally as important as Darren. Honestly he could be more important than Darren. It's truly nuts to think about. It's fascinating to learn about him again. He was so charming and full of potential. I was surprised to re-learn that it was well known that he was associating openly with the vampaneze, and I forgot that he was on the verge of becoming a Prince. He received just enough of the vote to become a Prince! Fascinating politics.
One of the first things he says when he was introduced to the story was something along the lines of 'is what this Harkat Mulds person says true?' So weird! It's sort of like saying is what I said true? So trippy.
I'm curious if Kurda ever met Steve? Kurda seems pretty unbothered about the upcoming Vampaneze Lord. I forget just how involved Kurda was with the vampaneze... It seems like the story was pointing to Kurda as the potential Vampaneze Lord. Like, he seems like an obvious candidate at this point in the story. Of course he's not but it's still interesting.
I'm so curious to reconsider Kurda's storyline. I forget so much and am just excited to re-examine how it all goes down.
I also forgot about the Guardians who exist in the various chambers of Vampire Mountain. I have totally forgotten what their purpose is.
Seba is also very cool as well.
Ugh I respect these books so much.
The vampire lifestyle in Vampire Mountain seems so chill. Just hanging out, competing or eating. Living a long time, free to live independently or socialize sparingly. I know they choose to live a rough life at times but, that seems pretty fun too. It all just seems pretty balanced.
I'm just enjoying learning about Darren's new life. There's a lot of doom and drama around the corner but, there's plenty of magic and intrigue along the way.
Last blog on Vampire Mountain up next!
