Stacking Crowns

With Blitz eliminations! It's tough to lose a crown but it's great to pick one up.

Stats: 9 Eliminations, 33% accuracy, 11 headshots, 110 hits, 60 damage taken, 1310 damage dealt.

I never intended to take Fortnite too seriously. But then things got real sweaty. People build and take you out before you even know what is going on. And I got called "Dogwater" by some kid, and "Trash", so I reluctantly decided to get better. I learned how to "throw up a wall" and I am still getting used to building ramps, but you get faster with practice and if you can out-build your opponent and get above them you can get an elimination instead of being the prey. If you are fast you can avoid getting shot by dodging bullets by crouching, jumping, sliding. When I started there were no cars to drive, only ones to break and use as metal. And there was no hurdling, or climbing, which was only added a few seasons ago. There was also no guitar band stuff either.

I am not complaining about it either, although I am a guitar player myself, I like Festival. Although I was adverse at first, I did end up enjoying both Guitar Hero and Rock Band a lot, and went through a nostalgia driven search to find compatible guitars to play the games again years later. Fortnite has added a lot of opportunities for musicians, with their car radio station expansions, to the live events that take place, to now being able to buy songs with vbucks to play and enjoy with friends, in a digital concert experience. You can even emote-jam in Battle Royale to your favourite songs.

I play this with the controller I have, because doing it with the keyboard is awkward and uncomfortable. There is a guitar at walmart that I can buy that will let me play guitar hero style, I might get that someday. My catalogue is starting to stack up, and it will take a while to play all these songs I have already added to my collection! So theres Jam stage that seems to be an open room where people can jam together, and I was looking for Main Stage, where all my songs are.

There are a variety of modes in Fortnite, so you can try them out and see which you like best. The most popular mode is Battle Royale which is Fortnitemares right now. The 'Team Rumble' mode went away, but we now have Blitz, and Reload.

Demon Rush is fun, but only here for another 2 weeks. Ranked Battle Royale, is for sweats who want to gain tournament points and see if they can even compete at a high level. Diamond and up is very challenging, but I work my way through it.

Save the world was the first Fortnite game, but it's more of a zombie defense game you can play to help push back the storm.

Rocket racing is only a year or so old, but I really enjoy this mode as it reminds me of san Francisco rush, and other racing games.

Theres even a zero-build mode for players who don't want to deal with all that building nonsense, but you get a recharging overshield.

Also Replacing Team Rumble is Ranked Reload, which gives you three chances to come back after being eliminated, but is also a ranked mode.

Also worth looking at is my ever-growing collection of skins. These are the modern digital action figure- characters that you can play as. Some of them, earned in the battle passes. Others, I bought them with vbucks I bought at the store. Real money, real time, real efforts. Some of these skins, like the Mandalorian, were earned. Hard fought for, like the Green Ranger.

Guardian Daggers are my preferred Pickaxes, because they spin and I like the way they strike the deconstructable environment.

Shoes are new but a delightfully useful thing. Some of these characters, needed shoes. And we can wear whichever shoes we want, with most skins! I got these Air Jordans, which are excellent, but recently I earned the Daft Punk shoes.

There's no shoes for sale today in the Shop, but there is a McLaren 765LT Bundle for 2800 vbucks! How cool is this car. Once I asked the Fortnite Community for a truck, and sure enough they added a Truck to buy. One day i'll get it.

There are even more kinds of Battle Passes available now with even more rewards for people who prefer playing other modes, like Fortnite OG Pass for old players who prefer OG. Or the Lego Pass for people who like lego. I really like it but I spend way too much time playing it, I just check on my crops and plant a few more varities, expand it a bit and then turn it off because you can spend all day playing freemodes like that. There is a Music Pass if you love the concert stuff I showed earlier, and a Crew Pack you pay $16 a month to get even more extra stuff on subscription. I think you can play this game for free and have a lot of fun.

Get your first battle pass for about 1000 vbucks and then reach level 100 and unlock all the rewards. You'll get enough vbucks for the next seasons Battle Pass.
