Continuous Childbirth Amid the Concerns of the Modern and Future World

I think it'll be good to start by saying that the world has not been a peaceful place since humans had their way to do things. We may desire and crave peace, but the total peace project is almost an impossible task. “Almost” impossible because I'm giving a chance to faith and belief that things can happen beyond imagination. But going by the negative desires and cravings of humans, a world void of some of the vices we know is a difficult possibility.

From time past, wars have been happening. Even climate change issues aren't realities of today. They started long ago, but thankfully we're being intentional about curbing them. The way we can have a peaceful and perfect world is when humans drop their selfish and greedy desires and attitudes. But let's first be the judge of ourselves. Haven't we been selfish, greedy in several ways and situations that affected our fellow humans? Even in our little ways?

Yes, we have! Back to the main discourse, I said all that to show that the perfect and best world to bring children into has not really been there. At least with humans having their way to do things. Undeniably, the world is getting more corrosive and destructive that it leaves anyone with a future in mind genuinely concerned. I'm one with a deep concern for this highly immoral, chaotic, pathetic and sick world. More for that which the future holds.

What I don't think is saying people shouldn't have children because of all that. Count some of the vices today, and we'll find that some have been awfully worse and more practised in the past. But guess what? Our parents were born and we were born as well, with some of us even having our children already. We can't say the current state of the world and a greater concern for the future world make it unethical to bring children into the world.

Humanity will face the effects. There'll be a decline in human population. We might say that's good, but is it really? I think I remember well the lessons on birth rates and mortality rates, and how a balance is needed; as people leave this world, others need to come for a balance. But that shouldn't even be the reason to give birth. It would be a ridiculous and selfish one that I won't buy into. I also don't advocate for explosive childbirth, especially when you can't take care of the children.

Children are said to be blessings. They bring joy to parents. Many people desire to have children, not to continue their lineage or name, but one that came forth from them and carries their biology, to nurture and raise them to live out their purpose and be a blessing to the same world they live in. That's what some children have become today in the adults we know and adore. Imagine if some of the great minds we know were not born because of this concern?

We probably wouldn't have many of the inventions available today. Health solutions in the medical sphere as well. As time advances, the next generation is needed to bring innovations, discoveries and solutions to the unique problems of their world and to make it better because they understand it better. The vices of this or the future world might not end. This isn't me being pessimistic. It's me saying it shouldn't stop the future from being born.

I very well agree with you on this, and of a truth, it shouldn't stop. We should still continue to have them, just in a regulated way. A country like ours don't have such a rule and that's why people give birth the way they like. I love kids, and I would love to have mine. But then, just two to three is okay.

Even if I can cater for more, that is enough.

Thanks for sharing

That's it bro. We can't stop having kids. And yes, let it be regulated. That's an issue with people in this regard. We shouldn't just give birth anyhow. Good for you, we'll all want to have ours. Don't forget to invite me for their naming ceremonies then. 😀
