One of the most abundant proteins in our blood is collagen. It provides the structural support to all the organ systems in our body. A decreased level of collagen may manifest as
- Wrinkled, crepey, or saggy skin
- Shrinking or weakening of muscles
- Stiff and less flexible tendons and ligaments
- Sunken area under the eyes, etc.
