Does Time Heal Everything?

I am watching Season 1, Episode 10 of Unlock My Boss. A line resonates with me:

Whenever I mentioned my mom, I always received unwanted consolation. Do you know what I heard the most? "Time heals everything." But it's half right and half wrong. Time doesn't heal anything for you. It's just during that time that you learn how to endure and deal with the pain until you get used to it. - Se-yeon in the Netflix series, Unlock My Boss

I asked ChatGPT to critique the above paragraph and offer an alternative interpretation. Though the bot acknowledges the honesty and the clarity of the above reflection, it is unfortunate that it might be interpreted as resignation and tolerance of pain rather than providing a space for personal transformation. What I don't like about that unwanted consolation is the appearance of sympathy, but it could be disguised as a dismissal of the gravity of the pain. Even though time itself can't heal, it can be an ally by giving you space to breathe, to accept reality, and then reshape your life after learning the lesson behind the pain. The important thing is how you respond, or the way you process pain.
