I link to three of the franchise, the first is available by searching the same platform.
Tom Laughlin was injured in an on-scene 'accident', a 'breakaway' bottle hit him in the head during a fight scene shutting down production of billy jack 5, which was billy jack takes on nyc child porn producers.
His financing fell apart after that bottle didn't kill him.
He died in 2013 at 82.
We need more like him.
I didn't know that Tom Laughlin was dead until you told me. I didn't realize that he was as old as he was until I came across this one movie on television that he starred in back in the 1950s. He was supposed to be a teenage high-school boy in that one movie from the late 1950s, but he was really a twenty-something-year-old playing the part of a 16- or 17-year-old high-school boy.
In his initial role as Billy Jack in the 1967 film Born Losers, he looked like he was only 25 or 26 years old, but he would have really been in his mid-thirties in real life. I think that the movie producers for that film were trying to depict him to be a spring chicken, because he was supposed to be a Vietnam War veteran whom a college girl (played by Elizabeth James) had romantic interests in after he had rescued her from a gang of vicious bikers.
