How smartphone has become an addiction.

Hi,

No doubt smartphone has revolutionized our world. We can use it for talking to each other and also send messages instantly. It has also enabled us to access internet and every knowledge of this world in our fingertip. But it has also become an addictive device. Especially, children are much affected from its addiction.

In the last month I visited my friend Emily's cousin. He has two children. They are very impish and very hard to control. I found that those children are addicted to smartphone. When they don't have it, they create all sorts of problems. This is a very difficult problem, specially for children.

Smartphone addiction is harmful for everyone but children are more harmed than the elders. They become emotionally and socially weak. They find it difficult to concentrate and also it harms their eye and brain. It is also very detrimental to their metal growth.

In order to save children it is very essential to detach themselves from the menace of smartphones. Children's delicate brain can't afford to smartphones' lights, contents and addictive nature. So, please keep away children from smartphones. It may seem difficult for you to control them but you must be resolute to do so. Children are future of mankind. It is your duty to save them.

With love and care from Erica.

I think we all, but especially children; perhaps it could be a family thing-should take a week off (or more) from smartphones and computers in general. We all need to learn how to entertain ourselves the old fashioned way, especially the children! Being outdoors and playing games with one another is something most children are inadvertently cheated out of, and adults, especially parents, might also need to pay more attention to and play more, with the children!

Thank you for your article! Take care and have a lovely week!

I would agree.
The internet, social media, television and such technologies is no substitute for lazy parenting. There are clear studies showing children are most vulnerable and not able to discern what they take in. The result is startling.
It is the obligation of parents to provide structured learning, teach discernment, demonstrate and practice proper social skills, value discipline and patience, demonstrate and practice spiritual values, and so on. There are no short cuts around raising children, I can easily spend more than half my life time to make sure our children grow up to be a rational, responsible adults as well as a contributing members of our communities.
