INFANT BAPTISM, A STARTING STAGE FOR CHILDREN And Other Of My Days Experiences

Every Saturday for us in my denomination is the LORD'S day, where we gather in our places of worship (church) to fellowship together, listening to sermons that transform and reform our lives.

I had planned my Sunday service before going to bed on Saturday. In the morning, after our family altar, I had to run the chaos with my wife. Getting our clothes ironed and shoes polished. I took my bath and was off to church. My friend had his son's infant baptism at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria Uyo Parish. I was there with him during the second service, which commences at 10am.

The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, as part of the Reformed churches, practiced infant baptism—a belief that every soul belongs to God. The worship was overwhelmed with supernatural experiences through singing, praying, and the Word well preached by the Minister of the Parish, Rev. Uwem Etukakpan. He charged the congregation on the topic "God can still do it" with his text drawn from Ezekiel 37 verses 1 to 14, talking about the prophecy of Ezekiel to the hopeless dry bones that God breathed into and they came alive. Relating to real-life situations and hopelessness, the preacher assured us that God can still fix us to be better again.

In the afternoon, I went to Abak Road in Uyo for a reception with my brother, where we spent quality time with old friends. We actually missed our way trying to get to the location, but thank God for Google Maps and phone calls. We were able to arrive at the location on time. We made merriment with an afang soup and drinks.

For my schedule yesterday evening, I went to the hospital to pray with a brother who was admitted on Friday morning. I encountered a tricyclist who demanded more than the fare price; I simply had to overlook it, and I paid him to free my time because it was already 5pm, and I had left the house in the morning.

There was another delay in getting to the hospital. I needed to follow all protocols before seeing the patient. It didn't argue, as it is their rule to be properly identified before entering their facility. Finally, I was given access. I spent time with him in the hospital and others who came. The ward was filled up with other patients and their loved ones. It wasn't conducive enough to take any photos. At the moment, I was thinking about how all of them will get well soon and leave the hospital. I spent not less than 2 hours in the ward and later encouraged them with prayers and a little support.

I left and got home exhausted without even taking dinner. I slept only to wake up in the middle of the night to drink malt and regain strength to sleep well. It was a busy day altogether.

Thank you all my fellow as you go through my write up.
