My Day In Total Blackout

There was a total blackout yesterday in Uyo. Charging the phone was a big challenge. In the afternoon I got a power bank to charge up my cell phone. I had three sets of visitors, so it was quite busy for me at home.

As our family tradition is, every morning starts with devotion. This was done with prayers to carry us for the day. Thank God and trust Him to take over.
It was raining in the morning. I seized the opportunity to fetch water directly from the zinc gutter. After that I rested, expecting my visitors.
Around 11am a family came, and we spent time discussing while playing ludo. Funny enough, my visitor won me twice. Hahaha! I will call him for a rematch.

It was already 1:23pm, but the weather was deceiving enough to think it was still morning. Later, a lady from our church came to notify me of her marriage—there was no picture, as my phone was off.

The evening was boring with the power outage that kept the whole stage in total blackout. We were managing ourselves with torchlight. Later, my wife cooked pepper soup rice, and we wrapped up the day with a delicious meal. We went to bed anticipating a quick restoration of the power outage.

My Summary of the Day

It was frustrating staying a day without electricity, a big challenge to charge up phones and other appliances. I had three sets of visitors and shared moments with them and also played ludo games. I was notified of the marriage ceremony, which I am preparing for next month. I ate pepper soup prepared by my wife, wrapped up the day with the meal, and went to bed without light. It was a big day with a big challenge that made me unhappy. But the beautiful moment was having visitors who spent quality time with my family.

Thanks a million for your Time
