Since Malú, a shiny black woman with white teeth and strong hands, had her little girl, she received many derogatory comments: "That girl turned out just like you: black, with wire hair and a thick nose. She didn't even look like her father, "That she has a better color and a better bearing," they said of that man who impregnated Malú and who ran away without even knowing if the girl had been born alive.

But Malú just smiled and said:
"Wow, if she's my daughter, she must be like me," she said, carrying her little girl in her arms or on her back, and seeing that the girl certainly looked more and more like her.
Those comments did not resonate with Malú, who worked from dawn to dusk, washing and ironing, making food to sell, making conuco, to support her little girl.

Malú watched her daughter grow up and she was her when she was that age: black as the night, with shiny, pretty cheeks and a sympathy that only angels and good people have. Over time, her daughter not only resembled her physically, she also gained that spirit of a hard-working and hard-working woman, who did her job by singing and singing daily. So much so that when people mockingly said to him:
_Wow, but it came out identical to you! Malú said proudly.

_ Wow, isn't she my daughter? She has to be just like me, Malú responded with that inflated chest when she saw that her genes, and not her father's, had predominated.

The man who got her pregnant ran away and it would have hurt more if the child turned out to look like him. He doesn't deserve the identity.

Black is beautiful btw.
