Memes about my favorite thing: Dogs

I know it is cliche to say that "I like dogs more than I like people" but honestly, it is easy to understand why a lot of people feel that way. I have this wonderful creature that almost never pesters me for anything other than a little assistance getting up to a chair that she wants to sit on and it is adorable that she wants to sit on that chair because it just happens to be closer to where I am.

Unconditional love is pretty hard to compete with, and you get that from dogs. That's why dogs win almost every time when it comes to companionship. Friends can and probably will let you down, but dogs never do.

So when I See some heartwarming memes about dogs I latch onto them.

image.png

As much as I like dogs I am rater indifferent to cats. I'll pet them if they want me to but I would never keep one as a pet. I suppose that once you get used to dogs it becomes a bit difficult to appreciate cats. Cats aren't doing anything wrong of course, their personality is just different. I feel as though cats seek out affection because they want something from you such as food or scratches. Then, once they have had their fill of either, they go away and want you to leave them alone. Dogs on the other hand, can't seem to get enough of your company.

Now I am sure that this was intended to be a humorous take on what you are not allowed to do in that park or wherever this is but I agree with what the Tweet says. If there was a dog that could do all of those things, especially at once, I think it should be allowed everywhere.

Someone took it upon themselves to create this in PS and I love it!

While this isn't technically a meme, it kind of falls into the same category. Also, why on earth would a place ban sunglasses and hats?

I may have posted this before and if that is the case I apologize but whatever man! This is a good one. I have been very lucky with Nadi, she has never chewed up anything but I know people who have dogs that have been an absolute terror as far as this is concerned. I guess I just got lucky!

image.png

I find it adorable that Nadi wants to do everything with me. Because I have complied most of her life and go out of my way to include her in as many outings as I possibly can, she has taken on the attitude of thinking that every time I approach the front door that "we" are going somewhere. It kind of breaks her heart when there are certain things that I cannot take her to. Even if I give her a treat to help ease the pain, every now and then she is too depressed to eat it while I am gone and when I return, the treat is in the corner uneaten. She only has it once I get back.

image.png

All dogs are like this and I wonder why that is. Nadi is so small that she would lose almost any physical encounter that she would be involved in but every time someone knocks at my door she goes absolutely mental like she is ready to tear them apart if that door opens.

We haven't had a doorbell for over 5 years but every time one of those sounds happens in a movie that I am watching she goes absolutely mental and it takes me a little while to calm her down. I could knock on my desk right now and she would run towards the door and bark like mad. She isn't very tough, but she thinks she is.

image.png

I'll end this like I always do, with a picture of Nadi. In this particular picture I was sitting with some friends at a nearby burger place and Nadi patiently sat in one of the chairs with us. In fact, she got the only comfortable chair while the rest of us were sitting at a wooden picnic table. She just sits there quietly until one of my friends accidentally said one of her trigger phrases and then she started barking at nothing. The trigger phrase in question is "doggy friends" and I have no idea how that started but she will react to it?

If you have pictures of your pets or of some pet-oriented memes I would love to have them!

Sorry man, I had to spam you today

My dog Lucky did chewed up my school shoes and i had to use my sandels to school the next day. Boy this meme said it all.

There's one time i petted my cousin's cat, when i got home, Lucky did not do his usual welcome dance, instead he was curiously sniffing and looking at me one kind, as in "why do you smells like fish". Oh this had me think of when Charlie is in your house 🤣

Theres one time, i forgot to knock an egg into my Lucky's porridge bowl, he refuse to eat until i fix the "problem".

My Lucky was an outdoor dude. Whenever we're having meals in the house, he will guard the door very-very closely. Now i know why.

I dont have any story with my Lucky, but he moved in to our new house together when i was 2 year old. I just love to have duggy friend when they don't bark.

My cousin found this, left is my older brother, my cousin and young me back in 1989 with my Lucky. Hmmm... Just noticed I got the pefect asian squat!

the spam is welcomed! I saw a lot of those in the past but they are all great and I don't mind seeing them again. You are correct about your Asian squat. I have never been able to hold that position for more than a few seconds, and likely never will!

I can tell that Nadi is getting older because if she is in her bedroom bed and I go have a midnight snack, she doesn't follow me anymore. Well, i guess it depends on if there is cheese involved or not.

That's a good one. The serious or disturbed dog look is a funny one. Nadi will sometimes get a concerned look on her face when we are somewhere new or if she is on a stool in a restaurant and I get too far away from her. I like that she is so attached to me but sometimes I think she might be a little too attached. I have very infrequently left her behind in her life but those must have been pretty traumatizing because now every time I go just a little bit out of her sight, she has a bit of a panic attack.

I've heard that's because dogs have no concept of time.. 5 minutes or 5 days.. same thing in their mind.. but then again I'm no dog-whisperer

I saw a study that was done on dogs that seem to be able to tell time but they cannot. The dogs base their idea of time on sounds and smells. There was one kind of heartbreaking study that showed that dogs go through a rather intense depression as soon as the scent of their owner starts to fade. this is why in the few instances when I have traveled without Nadi, that she goes on a hunger strike when she is staying in someone else's house or in a kennel, but if the person stays in my house to watch her she remains happy-ish while I am gone.

Those are some good ones this week! We had the same thing with the doorbell. I think it's a genetic thing passed down through generations. We never had a doorbell, but Jo heard one on TV one time and started going nuts.

ok, well that explains a lot. There must be something about the sound that a doorbell makes that simply annoys them.

I'm guessing so! It's hard to believe it has been a year now without her. I'd give anything to hear her bark her head off.

Lol the cat on the dog head is just very funny and the cat hat meme is classic good. Your dog actually makes me smile whenever I see. Nadi in the chair is so so cute. Pets bring a lot of joy

Nadi is cute no matter where we put her. There is a table outside my condo where I will sit and wait for delivery food and every time I go there someone comes by to take a photo with her.

Our big mastiff thinks he is the king of the house and goes nuts if you put a youtube video on with dogs barking. He just wants to play with other dogs and is not aggressive at all even though he is now 73Kg's.

That is one huge dog. I think Nadi would recoil in terror if she encountered a dog that large even though she kind of grew up with a Ridgeback taht wasn't as large as your mastiff but was a different kind of huge.

Here you need a small dog (yapper) and a big dog. The small dog hears any noise and waked up the big dog. I would not jump the fence if I knew he was here and he sleeps inside.

This is funny! All the dogs are adorable, but Nadi is our bias. Nice one!
