Olympics memes I have enjoyed lately
It's been a little while since I shared some stuff that made me laugh and trust me when I say there is very little to laugh about these days since we are not allowed to go anywhere while simultaneously being told we have to leave the country.
I live in a fantastic time zone for the Olympic and have it on in the background, muted, while I sit on the other side or the room fantasizing what it would be like to actually hang out with @deadspace . I don't really care about the Olympics or most sports for that matter, but I do love memes. So here are some winners that made me laugh or just made me feel something.
How many of us are guilty of this? We don't have any idea the amount of conditioning it takes to do this sort of stuff and if we were to give it a go on even handing on the uneven bars we would almost certainly fall down. Armchair quarterbacks are the best and yes, I am one of them.
While the person who posted this claims it is from 2020 I remember seeing this circulating years ago. It is still funny today. It is hilarious to think that they would have a lifeguard at the Olympics especially when you consider that their first aid training would immediately be pushed to the side for other, far more qualified medical professionals that are on hand at these things.
I really really really want to believe that Brazilian swimmer Bruno Fratus is a massive fan of memes because man oh man did he nail this one. The meme world is absolutely on fire right now for him coming in third and then doing his best to replicate the meme in all of its glory. No champagne unfortunately, but just unbelievable.

Obviously from last Olympics but really, they weren't wrong with this but I don't think it was just Americans that felt this way.

How many of you feel this way? I don't even care what the event is but whenever it looks like some small country is going to win, especially if it is a poor country, I am immediately rooting for them. It gets a bit old when USA, China, Australia, Great Britain, and Canada just win everything. You'll see me on the edge of my seat every time that Venezuela, Kazakhstan, Alabania etc look like they can medal in anything.

The Olympics cost a ton of money to host and normally it is worth it because of the huge influx of visitors. Japan didn't get to have any of those unless you count the handful of celebrities and politicians that probably only went for the photo-op. I don't know how many of these facilities were built brand new in Japan but normally when countries host this stuff they have to spend years preparing for it. It is a real shame that Japan got the Covid shaft on this one and I hope the world appreciates what they have done. Hopefully the Olympic commission throws some cash their way or lets them have a do-over in the not so distant future.
If you have any fun Olympic memes in your own stash I'd love to see them. The world is a much brighter place with memes, that is for sure.

yeah we joke about that on a regular basis. Years ago, I practiced on those pillow pads to learn how to do just one backflip and it took hours of falling on my head before I landed just one. This was many years ago and unless heading into a pool I wouldn't even consider trying it these days.
Ahh, I don't usually dive into the meme world but can't pass up some curated wholesome memes like this! Thanks for this! They actually put a smile on my face. My favorites are the first and last ones.
Hanging out with me these days would probably be like hanging out with a moist skeleton who forces you to watch terrible, terrible movies while drinking for his own pleasure. So, a solid 6/10 time, I'm sure.

The first three memes made me laugh like you have no idea xd and, the second one was too incredible I don't understand how there could be much coincidence there in that image. It's amazing how there are people who just spend their time looking for anything to make a meme and go viral, they are very cool these people without a doubt. They were great memes and they made you laugh a lot.
I made a meme ONCE hoping that it would make the boards on 9gag but it sadly got more downvotes than ups. The memelords are a fickle bunch but there are some really creative people out there for sure.

I ended up watching far less of the Olympic games than I had originally planned. I just had too much other real world stuff going on. We watched it a bit while we were playing games on vacation, but it was more just for background noise. Those are pretty funny memes! I don't see the Olympic committee giving much money to Japan. They are pretty greedy.
i don't know if the next Olympic location has already been decided but i'd bet they are shanking in their boots about the sunk costs if the Covid stuff continues. Qatar with the world cup as well.
I think they said it is going to be Paris. Yeah, the World Cup in Qatar is already a hot mess. Lots of drama surrounding that. Lots of immigrant workers dying last I read.

ok, how can i learn more about things like this. I understand there are a ton of subsects of these various other coins but I have no idea what they are, how to use them, and what the point is. I"m happy to try and help support almost anyone but I just don't understand it
In fact, I find the Olympic games boring. Perhaps, volleyball could be the best to watch. I like the memes, funny.
