People that just can't see the writing on the wall... like when IBM decided to initially stay out of personal computing because they thought the global market for computers outside of businesses (International Business Machines) was only a couple hundred PC's... Then there was Kodak intentionally staying out of the digital camera industry because their consultants thought it was just a passing fad. Also Blockbuster scoffed at the idea of streaming services ever becoming a thing. Arrogance drives these companies into the ground.

There are so many companies this has happened to and it has come back to bite them. Look at Nokia was offered the first touch screen 6 years before Apple and thought it was a bad idea.
