Grateful for A License! (Finally!)
It's been a long time coming, but the State of Michigan finally issued me my insurance license! I applied in March and I wasn't expecting it to take over a month for it to be completed, but that's where we are.
But after patient waiting and many calls and emails, I have a number!
The next step is for me to book a flight out to Minneapolis for "Sales Academy" for a week's training. It'll be from Sunday to Friday next week.
There are no "self-made" people - this is true! We all learn from one another and build in the accomplishments of others, just as others build on our accomplishments.
I am GRATEFUL for the help and experience of others who have been successful and I pray Divine assistance that I have the humility to not "do it my way", but do it the successful way.

No, I think his post was about getting a license to sell insurance. Basically, if I understand correctly, @gratefuleveryday will be the person stuck between the folks who’ve paid thousands of dollars and the people who automatically say "NO!" to every claim.
But at least it's not a license to practice law. Slightly less soul-crushing, but still a great way to be ignored at parties.

Insurance that pays big money to the medical INDUSTRY, but insurance that pays big money to the actual family of the hurt or injured is a different ball of wax. !BBH
There's !INDEED the difference of health insurance that pays the hospital so that the insured patient pays little to no medical bills, and health insurance which pays the insured patient directly in case of illness or accident. 🤓 !WEIRD
Not driving, but a license to write up insurance policies that pays people (not doctors or hospitals) in their time of need after an accident, heart attack, stroke, etc for unexpected expenses and lost wages, etc. !BBH
My impression about insurance is that it is so easy to get into, but so hard to get anything out of. 💸 Perhaps you can help change that mindset! 🤯😅 !WEIRD !INDEED

We all learn from each other. A person doesn't succeed alone for one simple reason they're alone... they don't have anyone to share, learn, and teach with, as you say in the post.
I love it when you ask God, and I'm sure He'll hear you and answer your request; it's just a matter of having faith.
The way this all came about seems Divinely guided, but I do not presume anything and I keep my ears and eyes open, walking in faith. This is not a Christian organization, but it would appear there are many Christians involved with this organization. !BBH
Good for you! I used to have an insurance license back when I was in college, I sold insurance on the side for some extra income. When I moved onto med school I let go and haven't thought about it since. It 's a great way to make money, but the good old days of people renewing without shopping around have come to an end. It used to be every six moths someone would renew and I got paid for doing nothing! lol
This is completely new to me, but I'm excited and see great potential. This pays LIFETIME renewal commissions and statistically people stay with this policy for many years, sometimes decades. I met a man who has been doing this for 10 years and is currently making enough in renewals that he essentially works at his leisure. Another who has been doing this 5 years and the renewal commissions pays the lease on her office. It's going to be difficult work for the first few years, but I look forward to the "doing nothing" money. :-)
Thankfully, this policy is unique enough that it's sort of an all-or-nothing policy. And there is big incentive to keep it to the end of 25 years, as all unused funds are returned to the policy holder. It's a very good product. !BBH
