The evening atmosphere in the yard is warmed by the bright flames of a coconut shell. Behind the flames lies simplicity and local wisdom a traditional method still often used in my village to prepare fresh grilled fish.

Coconut shells are a natural fuel readily available in tropical areas like Aceh. Besides producing a high heat, their distinctive aroma enhances the flavor of fish grilled over coals. The flames dancing among the shell fragments create a captivating scene.

I captured this moment because I was drawn to the contrast between the bright orange flames and the dark background. The natural lighting from the fire is the main element in this photo, showcasing the simple beauty of a meaningful daily activity.

I edited this photo using Photoshop Express to emphasize the color of the fire and highlight the warm nuances emanating from the reflection of the light.
