First Bite by the Rice Field
This afternoon, I took a break by the rice field, my hands still dirty with mud, but my heart full of gratitude. In between activities, I enjoyed a slice of warm fried banana—crispy on the outside, soft and sweet on the inside.
The fresh air, the moist soil, and the sounds of nature accompanied this simplest yet most heartfelt meal. This dish may seem ordinary, but in every bite, there's a taste of home, childhood memories, and the encouragement to keep going.
Sometimes, happiness doesn't have to come from something grand. Just a slice of warm fried banana, and the world feels right.
