The Beauty of Farmers and Hand Tractors

I took this photo in a muddy rice field when a farmer was plowing the land using a hand tractor or what is commonly called a "hand tractor". Although it looks simple, this job requires extraordinary physical strength and perseverance. Imagine having to stand for hours in the middle of thick mud, controlling a heavy machine that continues to rotate, while remaining focused so that the plowing lines are straight and even.

The cloudy weather adds to the drama of the atmosphere in this photo. The gray sky, wet soil, and splashes of flying mud are strong visual elements that depict the harshness of the struggle in the fields. Even though his entire body is covered in mud, the farmer remains focused and does not give up. His black hat and shabby work clothes seem to be symbols of the resilience of life in the countryside.

I feel that this moment needs to be immortalized because we rarely pay more attention to farmers who are truly the food heroes of the country. Without them, we would not be able to enjoy a plate of rice every day. Through photography, I want to convey my respect and appreciation for their work.

This photo is also a reminder that beauty does not always come in the form of luxury or perfection. Precisely from the mud, sweat, and hard work, that's where we often find the deepest meaning.
