The Silent Traces of a Tire
I captured this photo in the corner of a simple building, a place where unused objects still hold stories. A large tire, perhaps once belonging to a heavy vehicle, now rests silently against a rough, characterful brick wall.
The black and white in this image seem to emphasize the silence and simplicity of the atmosphere. The tire not only looks old, but also resilient. The scratches and dirt on its surface indicate that it has endured many hardships. Surrounding it are a wooden ladder, a broom, and a cement bucket, all seem to bear silent witness to days of hard work gone by.
I love how the light comes in from the right side, touching the surface of the tire and adding contrast to the rough texture of the brick wall. Outside, palm trees and a faint sky are visible, a reminder that even though we are confined to a confined space, life outside continues.
Sometimes, ordinary objects like this can evoke a sense of calm and reflection. They invite us to reconsider the meaning of silence, of objects that are no longer used, but still have a place in this world, even if only as memories.
