Weekly Trip to the Coin Store

Another week and another ounce of Constitutional silver onto the stack.

The featured Mercury dime was the nicest one in the lot.

I picked up $1.40 in face value which is approximately one full ounce of silver. And because I am a cheap SOB, I waited until today hoping that silver would come done in price after a stellar week.

So I saved a few pennies by the delay.

The Federal Reserve meets next week and has promised that it will raise interest rates. Can you believe that? Well the Federal Reserve has boxed itself in on this one and is faced with the decision of either killing the dollar or more correctly the Federal Reserve Note, or killing the US Stock Market.

My guess and this is simply a guess, is the Fed raises rates which causes a boost in the dollar and a further drop in the Equities Markets, as well as lower silver prices. Let me know what you think.

By the looks of the NASDAQ, it seems that many have headed for the exits already.

Does not matter much to me seeing as next week I will be heading to the coin store to pick up another ounce regardless of the price.

The old rumor mill has it that Bank of America is short tons of silver and may have to stand for delivery in March for much of it. So if J.Powell and Co. aka the Fed wants to help out BofA, then expect a rate hike and a drop in the silver price.
