Another #BEERSATURDAY and I have a Variety of Beers

Last week I picked up a variety pack of beers brewed by Highland Brewing Co. in Asheville, North Carolina. I am actually enjoying this way of sampling different beers.

In the past I have spent hours perusing the beer aisles trying to pick out the perfect beer or the kind of beer I am in the mood for at the moment.

Who knew #beersaturday would cause such disruptions in my life. I remember fondly the days when I simply walked in and grabbed my favorite beer and left the store.

Those days are in the past and in the past they must remain, as I have launched into the world of being a beer connoisseur on #beersaturday.

So today, I thought it appropriate to try the Trailbound as me and the Mrs. @handofzara did take a little hike in the woods today.

Nothing like a little walk in the woods to get the thirst for beer going. I have never had this beer before and it bills itself as "Hazy Juicy Ale".

BEER NAME: Trailbound
STYLE: Ale
ABV: 5.8%
BREWER: Highland Brewing Co. of Asheville, North Carolina
APPEARANCE: deep amber color, hazy and pours with a foamy head
AROMA: fruity like melons - citrus
TASTE: sour slightly bitter well balanced
MOUTHFEEL: medium body, carbonates well. nice finish reminds me of grapefruit

So I probably would never have picked this beer just by the description on the can. However, since it came in the Variety Pack I got to enjoy a new beer.

Actually Trailbound is a great beer after a nice long hike. Refreshing, fruity and rather quenching, making Trailbound the perfect beer after an outdoor adventure.
