Any Given Saturday In The South

This time of the year on any given Saturday some of the greatest College football is being played.

And in North Carolina, it presents an opportunity to enjoy specially brewed beer dedicated to your favorite team by one of the many Craft Brewers who call the Old North State home.

Today I am enjoying a DEACON BREW, the Official Craft Beer of the Wake Forest University Demon Deacons!

Today the Demon Deacons faced the Tigers of Clemson University, located somewhere in that supposed OTHER Carolina.

The Demon Deacons are ranked #21 in the entire country heading into today's game against the #5 ranked Clemson Tigers. To be sure a fine Southern match up!

STYLE: American Light Lager
ABV: 4.2%

APPEARANCE: straw gold, pours with a nice frothy head, very clear
AROMA: light hops
TASTE: mild hops crisp
MOUTHFEEL: light, carbonates well slightly bitter clean finish

The Deacon Brew is a perfect beer for a tailgate prior to the game and with a 4.2% ABV drink away me boys!

Clemson won the game in a rare Double Overtime with a score of 51-45. What a crazy game, and I imagine there a many more Deacon Brews being downed right now to console the broken hearted.
