No Love for the Gold Mining Stocks

No one wants to hold the gold mining stocks these days as the HUI Index posted another lower LOW. The DOWNTREND is fully intact with zero sign of relenting.
A downtrend is defined as a series of LOWER LOWS and LOWER HIGHS.
Gold is drifting sideways to lower in a rather tight range. From tight ranges come big moves, the question always is which way shall it break? Unlike the miners, gold could change its downtrend with a close above the recent high of $1882, provided the recent LOW of $1806 is not taken out first. My guess is, and this is only a guess, that the chances of a change in the downtrend given the action in the miners, are slim to none.
And Slim just got on the last train out of town!
Silver is getting awful close to rolling over into another down leg, as in only a few pennies away.
I can't speak for anyone but myself, but for right now, to me, it means I will not be a buyer of any gold stocks until the downtrend changes. I will not be making any trips to the coin shop to buy silver, which is not all bad seeing as I can save the gas money until the carnage is all done.
The last time I did this there was a National Coin Shortage!

I am seeing gold hitting $1850 before the week ends
It's now $1823. Gold not been moving this week. I do wish we can get to $1900, then the $2k can be reachable !
Metals are out of favor even though they should be good in an inflationary environment. Nothing makes sense anymore.
I predict gold and silver will be worth something after the reset.
