Spring has Arrived and I am a Hoptimist!

Note to self: you may be a Hoptimist but that is a real crappy picture!

Well, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose but we always swing for the win on #beersaturday!

So how was your day today? Did you do anything full of hope for the future? Are you a Hoptimist?

See, as I see it you are no longer a "hoptimist" if you quit after failing. Only a true hoptimist would try again after a failure.

Why yes it is, another North Carolina IPA, which is kind of odd since North Carolina is on the other side of the World from India.

In the past few months of #beersaturday I have grown to enjoy many of our homegrown IPAs which are far less "hoppy" and far more smooth than the IPAs of days gone by. The brewers around these parts realized that more hops does not always a better beer make. Which in years gone by if you were so bold as to drink an IPA there was no hope for a smooth and refreshing brew.

Enter the eternal 'hoptimists" to make a smoother and kinder beer.

BEER NAME: Hoptimist
STYLE: West Coast IPA
ABV: 7.5%
BREWER: White Street Brewing of Wake Forest, North Carolina
APPEARANCE: Deep Amber, pours with a foamy head, clear
AROMA: citrus and hops
TASTE: lime and mild hops the ETOH is definitely present
MOUTHFEEL: medium body, carbonates well, ETOH and hops linger

So overall a nice brew and I am a hoptimist!
