Take Me Out To the Ballgame - Part of My Christmas Collection
As you might recall, @handofzara often receives BEER for gifts, like on my Birthday, Father's Day, Tuesday (yea it is a thing!) and Christmas Day. And this #beersaturday, I am sharing with you one of my Christmas Day gifts.
DURHAM BULL BEER
FUN FACT: North Carolina is home to several Minor League Baseball teams. One of the many minor league baseball teams scattered across the Old North State is the Durham Bulls established in 1902. The Durham Bulls baseball team is currently associated with the Tampa Bay Rays.
Again, I rise and call for a reform to our Higher Education system, wherein all textbooks are eliminated and all lectures must be based only upon facts that are found on a can of BEER!
I must admit that I was a little concerned about this beer, as the brewery is located inside the baseball stadium, a little sus if you ask me.
The Durham Bulls did bring in a designated hitter for the brewing process from a local craft brewer, R&D Brewery in Raleigh, North Carolina, so perhaps this is enough to knock it out of the park.
However, my fears were somewhat relieved when I turned the can to discover what style of beer the Bulls had brewed.
My favorite style in the whole world, named from the brewing tradition in COLOGNE, GERMANY. So this beer review just became a piece of cake.
See there are in my humble opinion only two beers that are either GREAT or TERRIBLE, there is no room for any in between. These two beers are a HELLES and a KOLSCH. A brewer can "hide" behind an IPA or a Stout, but there is no hiding when it comes to a KOLSCH. Either it is a great brew or it is . . .
A bold choice for a baseball team's home beer!
BEER NAME: Durham Bull Beer
STYLE: Kolsch Ale
ABV: 5.2%
BREWER: Durham Bulls/R&D Brewing
APPEARANCE: straw gold, clear and pours with a small head
AROMA: slight aroma of malt
TASTE: clean fresh BEER
MOUTHFEEL: light bodied, light carbonation with a clean finish
HANGOVER FACTOR: dangerous as I could probably have a beer each inning of a baesball game and there are NINE INNINGS
An excellent Kolsch!
Last week I did not do a trivia question because I was having a John Daly kind of day.
But this week I shall renew my #beersaturday tradition of asking a TRIVIA QUESTION. The first person to answer correctly in the COMMENTS wins a BEER TOKEN!
Good luck and I will see y'all next #beersaturday!
Looks like a solid beer, was the general called Abner Doubleday?

BEER
.Hey @ablaze, here is a little bit of
BEER
from @handofzara for you. Enjoy it!Did you know that you can use BEER at dCity game to **buy dCity NFT cards** to rule the world.
I have to agree on your call with Kolsch and Helles, you have to be a darn good brewer to get it right, but if you do it works - and this sounds like it works.
Hahaha, yeah a "Kölsch" has to be exact to the perfect and typical style and function, You fill a Koelsch glass fast, deliver it quick and drink it from a small 0.2l glass quickly.
We name it as well a "Erfrischungsstäbchen" where "little refreschment stick" might be a word to word translation
That is awesome, the German language is amazing how words are added together to make very specific word!
