Meme contest still running

There is still a meme contest running in the slothbuzz discord and in this post I want to share with you a few memes we had in there since I joined the fight two weeks ago.

I started off with some generic memes without any specific topic. Most of them based on random pictures I found browsing through my collection and just putting some appropriate text to it.

Every once in a while I come across a scene or picture while watching a TV-Show and just hit the print-screen button. That way I am collecting scene screenshots for later use. The text line than pops into my head at some point and I remember there was a screenshot that would fit perfectly.

I carried on that way for a few days and things went back and forth between me and someone else in discord name Dilligaf_Dj.

In the meantime Dilli went on making fun of @slothlydoesit in a few memes. Wanna know how? Join the channel and find out. 😋

Then this happened. Dilli posted the following meme:

And I thought yes, it actually is perfect. It is some text slapped onto a picture. It is in fact a PNG. Technically it fulfills the requirements of the contest. But could I let that stand? Nooooo....

Lucky me, I have plenty of pictures of my cat:

This was the first time we (or in this case I) pitched against each other. Little did I know, I was in for a rough ride.

With some back and forth, which included me answering with this meme:

Dilli answered with:

And I could not blame him, even made me proud a little bit. 😊

But I was stupid enough to tickle him some more and replied with this:

I just had the screenshot laying around on my hard drive and was taken away by the moment. So I cannot blame Dilli for switching targets, from now on his focus was solely on me instead of @slothlydoesit and we had our own little brawl going.

I realized that might have made it personal so I tried a peace offering:

and it seemed to have worked. Even though still focused on me, it got less personal.

Until...

Now that was a shitty meme and I actually went on a research trip. I remembered there was an episode of "That 70's Show" with Star Wars in it (from the old episodes) and I watched it to capture some screenshots. Did I go a little overboard? Maybe... But it was Star Wars!

To my surprise Dilli reacted this way:

At this point I knew: We had a fierce battle going but neither of us took it really personal. Trash Talk 101: Don't take it personal.

Wait what? This came next:

Is that an acknowledgement of what I just thought or is it the statement that now he just now took it personal? Ah, took it, I figure we're good. Nothing personal anymore.

Then some talk about a bonus prize for a theme day or similar went on. Uh, goodie, I had a picture here somewhere that might fit, let me just slap some text on it and here we go:

Which of course did not have to wait for a funny reply for long:

That made me laugh so hard... And it made me realize, this is gonna be a long fight.

We went back and forth again a few more times and then, all of a sudden this one showed up:

It was a proud family moment when the older brother, who was usually bullying the younger brother all of a sudden started defending him when trouble came from outside...
