The innocent joy of childhood a piece of imagination on the corner of the roof.

When the sky dips a little in the afternoon sun, my mind unconsciously wants to go under the open sky. Today, on one such afternoon, I went to the roof of my house. The intention was to enjoy some free air, but what I saw there caught my eye. A little boy was sitting on a corner of the roof and playing very much to himself. His surroundings are quite messy, he has built his own strange and beautiful world among broken bricks and old iron sheets. I stood silently and watched him. He has no specific rules for his game, no expensive toys. His only possessions are a small plastic toy stove and his own imagination.

He is playing with his toy on that broken brick with utmost compassion. Looking at him, it seemed like he is so happy in his own world! When we are busy solving all the complex equations in our busy lives, how easily this little child knows how to be satisfied with very little. There is no fatigue, no disappointment in his innocent eyes. There is only the joy of playing and the indomitable curiosity to know the unknown.

I stared at him for a long time. He didn't notice me, because he was busy cooking or decorating the house in his own fantasy world. At that moment, seeing him reminded me of my own childhood. How many years ago, we used to decorate many different games with broken toys and pieces of bricks in the same way! In today's digital age, when children are stuck on the screen of their smartphones, seeing this boy playing close to the ground filled my mind with a strange peace.

This time spent in nature, under the open sky, in your own way, is like the best moment of life. That little child taught me that you don't need anything big to be happy. You just need a mindset to live with an open mind. His innocent look and pure joy fascinated me. A scene like this hidden in the corner of the roof in this quiet afternoon is truly priceless. Isn't it possible to find the lost joys of our childhood in this way amidst the busyness of life This child's smiling face and his simple play reminded me once again that life is actually very simple, if we don't complicate it. This afternoon will be a treasure trove of great memories for me.
