The mystery of these strange-looking unknown fish on the riverbank.

This afternoon, while walking along the riverbank, I came across a strange sight that is not usually seen in our river-like Bengal. In the peaceful environment around, my eyes suddenly caught sight of some unusual fish. Although the fish seemed to be ordinary aquatic animals from a distance, when I got closer, I was really surprised to see their shape. The appearance of these fish has nothing to do with the physical structure of conventional domestic fish. The skin of the body is quite hard and rough, which looks a lot like armor. The structure of the fins is also quite strange and sharp, which is completely different from ordinary fish.

In the rivers and reservoirs of our country, an abundance of familiar fish species like Rui Katla Mrigel or Shin Magur are usually seen. But many questions have arisen in my mind about how such strange-shaped marine or different region fish came to the river water. In the local language, many people call this type of fish as Sucker Mouth Catfish, which is basically known as a foreign species of fish. Although these fish were once brought from abroad to enhance the beauty of aquariums, their breeding in natural water bodies has now become a threat to the environment. Due to climate change and various environmental factors, such foreign species are easily adapting to our domestic rivers.

To protect the natural biodiversity of the river, it is very important to prevent the spread of such harmful species. Our domestic fish species are gradually disappearing due to the competition for food and habitat with these aggressive fish. If awareness is not created among the general public on this issue, the existence of domestic fish will face extreme crisis in the future. The experience of standing on the banks of the river and seeing these strange fish was as thrilling as it was, it has also given rise to deep concern about the future of our natural water resources. Although nature has gifted us with various varieties in its own way, many beautiful things have become dangerous for the environment today due to our negligence.
