Turning My Self-Published Book into an Audiobook
Well, my listing on Audible Creation Exchange has passed review, and I am now officially looking for voice narration for The Hypno: Dr. Hypnos in Los Angeles.
The listing is active for 30 days. As of this writing, I haven’t received any auditions yet—there’s no guarantee that I will—but I remain hopeful. I understand that experienced narrators are unlikely to audition for a Royalty Share deal, but attracting new narrators looking to build their portfolios wouldn’t be a bad thing. In five or ten years, today’s amateur narrator might become someone in high demand. Having my self-published book in their audiobook portfolio after they become successful would be a great bonus.
In the meantime, I plan to use the 30-day window to promote the book. A few sales and reviews could make a difference if I need to relist it next month.
The Hypno: Dr. Hypnos in Los Angeles audiobook is (maybe) coming soon to Audible, Amazon, and Apple Books.
