Some of my relationships with some of my friends are just sending memes back and forth. Its a strange existence, on those other platforms. The connection is still real, but not as deep as what can happen here. I don't know why people have more substance here.
Perhaps it is the fact (for me) that hive is a place I look at on my computer, and there's more space.
Its a time of the day, that I look forward to.
Its a time of the day where I can catch up, think, and respond.
So much more... solid than the temporal, ephemeral interactions had on a phone, often done "mid other task".
My entire attention is here when I'm here.

that's fantastic though and while my network of people isn't as large as I like it to be here or anywhere else for that matter, i think I am kind of in the same boat. I also have friends where we haven't seen one another for years and it is very likely that we will not ever see one another ever again... but we still pop s-level memes at one another every month or so.
That gave me the best smile. I have those friends as well. They're fantastic. Every now and then, just tell them what they mean, how they make you feel. It goes a long way! :)
