Anti Magic Teams in Splinterlands

Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! Magic is my preferred team in Splinterlands because magic attacks are strong, can attack from any position and ignores armor. The archon that I use is from the Foundation set that increase magic attacks.

She's powerful and easy to upgrade to maximum level which is why a lot of players use her in Modern format.
But on the other hand, experienced players know how powerful magic can be and can deliberately counter it. I have problems with archons that counter magic like the two games I will show. Fortunately, I won against them this time.

Nomos

Nomos is a fire archon from the Rebellion set. It can inflict minus two magic to two units of the opponent. It drastically decrease the magic attacks of my units and affect their effectivity. I often lose to this archon so I'm happy to get a win.

My opponent correctly put the debuff on two of my rear units. Fortunately, the other magic attackers made up for the decrease in attack. Inspite of my opponent having two legendary cards in his team, my team still pulled off the victory.

Loving the Moo

When it comes to anti magic archon, nothing compares to Loving the Moo. It's a Water legendary card so most likely you will face it when using the Water magic team like I do. It combines anti magic skill and highly offensive skills in its arsenal. Primarily, Magic Reflect skill returns magic damage to attackers. Then it has Blast and Poison, two offensive skills that increase its own damage. This archon is the favorite anti Marlai Singariel team that is often used in Modern.
My team won a close battle aided by Riverboat Captain, an outsider who has his own Blast skill.

Conclusion
If you are like me who frequently use Water magic team, you need to recognize when the opponent is likely to bring anti magic skills like Void, Void Armor, Silence, Magic Reflect or Phase. In those situations, be prepared to make adjustments to your team.
Or, if your opponent is the one using a magic team, then you can prepare your own counter skills. That's what makes magic interesting, it's strong by default, but predictable enough that opponents can counter it.
