My First Arena Vanguard Card

avatar

Greetings to all Splinterlands players and the Hive gaming community! I finally got my first Arena Vanguard card through the Daily Jackpot Draw. The card I received is Gorm the Vengeful. Arena Vanguard cards are a great addition to Splinterlands and having the opportunity to obtain one through the daily draw adds motivation to play in the Frontier.

Gorm the Vengeful has a mana cost of ten, which means you need to be selective when deciding when and where to use this card. Ten mana is huge especially in battles with lower mana caps. Playing Gorm can limit the number of other units you are able to include in your lineup. So you need to make sure that his skills and stats are good enough to include him in the line up.

My Gorm the Vengeful is currently only Level one, so he is not specially strong compared with some other cards. For example, Vengeful Monk has the same stats and abilities, making it a better alternative when I want a similar option.

However, Gorm the Vengeful becomes stronger as he levels up. At Level two, he gains the Magic Reflect ability, giving him an additional way to punish opponents who use magic attacks. This can make him much more useful in battles when I expect my opponent to build a magic lineup.

At Level three, Gorm's attack increases to three, giving him more offensive power. At maximum level, Gorm the Vengeful gains Affliction. This ability can be useful against opponents who depend on healing. With all of these upgrades, Gorm has the potential to become better than his level one version. But, being an Arena Vanguard, he will not be easy to upgrade unless I spend some money.

Arena Vanguards like Gorm cost more than a dollar each so a max level copy will cost more than $25. Another way to get him is to gather Sparks and buy it for 30k Sparks.

I would like a level three when his attack increase to three and also gets the Magic Reflect skill.
