Black to move and mate in 5
The above position occurred in my recent game in lichess.org. After the opening moves 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 { A50 Indian Defense: Normal Variation } e6 3. a3 {preventing me from playing the Nimzo} d5 4. Nc3 Be7 5. f3 O-O 6. e3 c6 7. Bd3 a6 8. Nge2 b5 9. cxd5 cxd5 10. O-O Nbd7 11. Bd2 Bb7 12. Rc1 Rc8 13. Qe1 Qb6 14. Qf2 Bd6 15. Rc2 Rc7 16. Rfc1 Rfc8
An equal position was reached. My plan is to attack on the Queen-side by pushing my a and b pawns and occupying the c4 square with my Knight. 17. g3 Nf8 18. Kg2 Ng6 19. b4 Bf8 20. Nd1 Ne8 21. Rxc7 Rxc7 22. Rxc7 Qxc7 23. Kf1 Nd6 24. Ke1 Nc4 25. Bxc4 dxc4
The position is still equal but I feel that my passed c-pawn gives me an advantage. White will have to blockade it on c3 while I try to exchange some pieces and push my Queen side pawns. 26. Ndc3 Ne7 27. e4 h6 28. Be3 Ng6 29. Kd1 Be7 30. h4 Bd6 31. Kc2 Nf8 32. h5 Nd7 33. e5 Be7 34. f4 Nb6 35. Nc1 Nd5 36. Nxd5 Bxd5 37. Kc3 a5 38. Na2 Bf8 39. g4 Be7 40. g5 hxg5 41. fxg5 Qd8 42. Qg3 axb4+ 43. axb4 Qa8
My Queen can invade via the a-file unopposed. I can launch an attack together with my light squared Bishop, my advantage is now decisive. 44. Nc1 Qa3+ 45. Kd2 Qb2+ 46. Kd1 Be4 47. g6? {a huge blunder. Qf2 offers some defense. Now, Black wins with a mate in 5}
