Pizza A Slice of Madness Brawl Report: Sixth Place

Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! This is my report for Pizza A Slice of Madness brawl. We are a guild that plays for fun, competitions and rewards. We play in the weekly guild brawls where we fight with other guilds for the fun challenge and rewards. This is our battle report for the week.

Overall Guild Rank: Sixth Place

We had a bad night in the brawls losing our lofty place in the podium and dropping to lowly sixth. We only won 78 games while losing 84. We are so far from our usual results in this brawl. The lead of the guilds above us were so wide. We have to do better next brawl.

Top Brawl Participants

My record in this brawl was also poor. I won five games and lost four, barely a 50% result. I shared eighth to tenth place in our guild's top brawl participants.

Selected Games
Here I present two of the games that I won.
Game 1

The first game I had an overwhelming advantage over my opponent. This was due to my opponent not having a Quora card in his team. Quora is a strong card with its combination of high stats, healing and bloodlust skill that multiplies its stats when it defeats an opponent. The difference in power is more pronounced when compared to Foundation cards that were weaker than the Modern sets.
My opponent had a Katrelba Gobson gladiator but it was not enough to win against my stronger gladiator card.

Game 2

The second game was the same. I had the advantage owing to my stronger gladiator card. Mine was a legendary card with excellent stats and defensive skill against magic attacks.
My opponent had an epic gladiator card with his team. I had two magic units in my team that he cannot defend against. This gave me an advantage because his own magic attack was blocked by my gladiator's shield.

Spending the Rewards
I have enough merits to buy two packs. There were no legendary cards but this still great. Among the cards I received were one gold foil, two epics and two rares.

Conclusion
We earned 3.667 merits and 24 SPS from the brawl. The reward is generous that we get just from joining and playing brawls. With regular brawls, it adds to my weekly SPS stake. I'm grateful to the Pizza guild for accepting me as a member and gave me a regular spot to join the brawls and earn rewards.
