Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - My EOS Rewards and Battles

avatar

Greetings to Splinterlands players!

In this season, I'm happy to finish having reached the Silver III ranking. As an added bonus, I was also ranked 99th in the leaderboard earning me 2,500 glint tokens.

I spent some glint during the season buying epic cards which helped me win a lot of games during the season. I am left with 20k glint tokens but I will not spend more for now. I will save them for legendary chests. I think legendary cards will help boost my wins so I will save my glint tokens for them.

Card Purchases

I bought some cards during the season to help me win more games. The first is Quillstorm Mage. It adds another magic user in my arsenal. It is a neutral card that I can use with all elements. It's also useful in Shades of Grey ruleset.

Another card I bought is the new promo card, Yaba's Pickle. It's a low-mana card that can be used in some situations like low mana rulesets. It has no attack but can be used to absorb attacks from the enemy. It doesn't fight but it can be used as a shield.

SPS Rewards

I started as a free to play player but I'm earning some SPS which I put to stake. I now have 100+ SPS, not a big amount but considering I'm playing a game for fun and earning some rewards at the same time is a win-win for me. So now, I'm spending DEC to buy cards and boost my chances of winning. I've also rented SPS to earn more although I don't play as much as I wanted to and have not used all my energy.

Our guild fights in guild brawls. I also earn a bit of SPS from playing in guild brawls.

My Battles

The cards I purchased helped me win this game. Both cards have 2 attacks boosting my offense. Thunderous Herald has 2 magic attack while Aria Bandit has 2 archer attack. Another useful card is the legendary foundation card, Great Bear Druid. It has both melee and magic attacks. This battle's ruleset is Equal Opportunity so the Great Bear Druid can attack with melee from anywhere.

Round 1 - We both lost one unit. It's five against five going to round 2.
Round 2 - I defeated one more enemy unit. I have five units versus four in round 3.
Round 3- I lost two units while the enemy one unit. It's an even match again going to the next round.
Round 4 - Great Bear Druid and Thunderous Herald eliminated one enemy unit each. It's three versus one going to round 5.
Round 5 - Victory. His last unit is an archer, he cannot attack from first position.

Both of us used Water element that gives magic boost to units. I have the Quillstorm Mage help in this game. He gives me another magic attacker. The enemy team has the Great Bear Druid. He is not good here because he cannot use his melee attack. He would be better if there is a sneak or equal opportunity ruleset.

Round 1 - My team made the first kill but at the end of the round my Shock Trooper zapped his ally, Quillstorm Mage.
Round 2 - We both lost two units. It's my three versus three going to round 3.
Round 3 - It's a crazy round. Both our Shock Troopers were zapping their allies but I got the advantage in the end. It's two versus one going to Round 4.
Round 4 - Victory.
