What's the dumbest thing someone has ever tried to do to win you over?.

Hello everyone, and hai, my gorgeous women and trendy ladies with poise. It's a nice day joining this community of amazing ladies, we all are everywhere fulfilling all that ladies are known for, and brainstorming together here through our stories.
Those things that happened to us at one time or the other 😂.

She is the one.

I'm thrilled to be here to contribute my own qoater of what we all have been going through at one time or the other. Thank you for accepting me, as this is my first time to show up in this lovely community of ladies, @ladiesofhive.

These two of questions drew my attention, I decided to lend my own voice to question one.. Let's see how far.

Question one

What's the dumbest thing someone has ever tried to do to win you over?

Life and living is a complete educational institutions that no one has ever graduated from. Most times you meet up with some amazements that will keep you dumbfounded and gasping for fresh air from all the four corners of the world. Desiring to be given perfect answers that could satisfy you. Funny enough most of those times, you can't get appropriate answers to satisfy your heart of truth..

This is a recent happening
Just in this last Christmas holiday, I traveled to the village to be with my extended family over there. My maternal aunties four of them were among the community birthday/ retirement ceremony that always happened every five years in my village..

Getting there, everybody was in the mood of celebration. Giftings and rejoicing with everyone do occur. This my junior friend I usually give gifts ordinarily because I want to improve her living standards, seeing how low it's really with her, I always pity her. I came home with rice and the cooking ingredients and some money I gave to her immediately I landed into our house. She was there and told me by herself that her brother abroad sent her #10,000. Ten thousand NAIRA, my country's money. I was happy for her and said, ooh thank God for you.!

In my heart, I was totally happy for her because of her condition in the village. She repeatedly said that in two different occasions in two different days. I still said, thank God for you, he has done you very well.

Never knew she was just lying to me. That the actual money the person sent to her was #30,000 for her Christmas celebrations. My question now is why on earth was she lying to me? Belittling the effort of someone that was giving her just to help her have a better life and a celebrating Christmas??🤔👀.

You can now ask me, How did I know the reality?.

You know, God's ways are very much higher than our ways, His thoughts too are very lofty to ours. I know that very brother of hers in person but we don't talk often. But suddenly this January, one day my phone rang, lo and behold, it was that her brother calling me to know how the community general birthday was celebrated... We began talking, laughing, reminding ourselves some old village memories and laughing, I instantly remembered he sent some money to his sister, I said... Thank you oooo for the 10,000 you sent to so, so sister of yours.

He said, "did she tell you I sent her how much, I replied 10,000. He said, it's a lie, that he sent her #30,000. He also told me that she told him not to tell me the exact amount so that I may not reduce my own financial gifting to her whenever I come home because she knew I was coming to the village and I must give her quality things as I have been doing over the years.

I became so confused, perplexed, angry because I hold her in a very high esteem. Both of us have been discussing intimate points of our lives over the years. That made me remember another senerio she also lied against me like two years ago. Still money issues. Someone gave to her to give to me, but when she gave me I asked her to take it for herself, but immediately another person asked her, she told them that she had given it to me, and someone also told me. When I confronted her, she pleaded with me, that was afraid of the other fellow.

This second encounter has swept me off my feet. I became worried that I had been dealing with a secret lier, wondering why she is like that, then asking myself where did I go wrong and then what Ami supposed to do because I hate liers, they will always twist the truth to become a lie and it pisses me off from such people. I never expected her to be of such double standard.

If you were in my shoes, how would you handle this situation. Remember, she told that person that he should not let me know the exact amount given to her, so that I myself would not either lower my own or stop entirely giving to her. And none of these is a serious point to me. My painful concern now is that I never believed she could use me to make caricature of lies like this
