A Rainy Day, Cold Weather, and a Mongoose at the Nursery

Introduction

Well, it's late. And like always, I'm about to go to bed. But that doesn't stop me from writing my health report like every day.

I love writing these reports, and I love that it helps me become a better person, a healthier person.

A Cold, Rainy Day

Weather Changes in My City

Today was a normal day, but it wasn't normal because it rained like it has been raining for the last few days, and there was nothing to do at the nursery.

A lot of people don't come out when it rains a lot in my city. We are not habitual to harsh rains. We don't like rains because my region is a hot region.

The temperatures go above and beyond 40 degrees and can reach up to 45-46 degrees Celsius. But right now, it's so cold that it looks like we are about to go to freezing temperatures.

Don't worry, I'm not freezing. But, you know, we don't like damp, cold, humid, and wet weather. We love a little bit of dryness.

The Challenge of Clients

Difficult Interactions

So the highlight of today is that nothing much happened. And tomorrow I have to go to one of my clients where we had done some gardening and landscaping.

Tomorrow we'll be doing some final touches and there's a dreadful client we'll be done and dealt with. I don't want to go further, I don't want to talk to this client anymore because he has caused me severe trouble because of his attitude and because of the way he treated me.

Lessons from Handling Customers

Clients and customers come in all shapes and forms so it's not good when clients ignore our calls and when clients start complaining when things don't go as they assumed they would go.

Health Concerns

Breathing Issues in Cold Weather

Today I did a bit of work at the nursery, and I had to re-arrange some of the plants and move some of the pots that we have.

I usually don't do much work at the nursery when it's so wet and rainy, and I usually do well when it's a warm and sunny day. It was so cold today that I started to feel some issues with my lungs.

I could feel the cold, damp weather in my bones. Tomorrow I have to travel, and I am a little bit worried about my health. I don't know if the travel will have a negative effect on my breathing and my lungs.

Living with Asthma and Allergies

I have asthma, I have allergies, and the cold weather doesn't go well with me. I might end up with fever or cold. I don't know, but I'm assuming because today I could feel some issues with my lungs.

It was a little bit difficult for me to breathe when I was at the nursery today.

Snakes and Mongooses

My Close Encounter with a Snake

A few days ago I had mentioned in a post that I saw a snake at Monastery and I was a little bit scared about that. It's not the first time I saw a snake, it's not the first time the snakes have visited Monastery, but I was so close to it that I could have ended up stepping on it.

So I was a little bit worried for about a few days and today I saw a mongoose at the nursery.

Relief in Seeing a Mongoose

It wasn't a big one, it's still a baby and he was roaming around the nursery and I was a little bit, you know, relieved because mongooses and snakes don't go well and they are eternal, what do you say, eternal enemies, enemies forever.

I have seen videos of mongooses fighting with snakes and they say that the mongoose never loses. So I'm happy that I saw a mongoose at the nursery, although the mongooses are very cunning, very clever and mischievous animals.

They will ruin some of my plans, but the greater good is that my nursery will be snake free eventually.

Memories from My Previous Nursery

In my previous nursery, my workers once found a snake and they tried to kill it, but it ran away. And a few days later, they saw bits and pieces of the snake all around, and the mongoose was carrying the corpse of the snake.

Reflections and Prayers

Protecting Plants and Business

I have no intentions of killing any animal, except insects and pests that destroy my plants. I have to protect my business, I have to protect my produce, my plants, so that I can provide the best solutions, best plants to my customers.

But apart from that, I don't encourage killing any animal ever. So, I'm hoping that my nursery will be free of any snakes and my customers, and I will be safe.

Hoping for Growth and Safety

In the end, I just pray to almighty Allah that my business grows better and bigger, and hopefully things will be much better eventually.
