I wonder, aren't they afraid of the ice falling in and sinking on the frozen water? but i have never felt winter :(

I think they have the real experience of doing so for long time and they can guess the thickness of the ice on the river surface and act accordingly. That's why they were digging hole for fishing but I was feeling so scary there! Thanks for stopping by!
