It seems our country has been experiencing the worst of disasters. During the second half of the year, we've had enough series of typhoons and earthquakes. Recently, certain parts of the country felt the tremor. Also, the strong typhoon was felt in Central Visayas, which also triggered flash floods.

Looking at the floodwaters in Cebu, you will notice its muddy color similar to a 3-in-1 coffee. Obviously, it came from the mountains, and we cannot blame the forest. Illegal logging happens. Even if it's legal, it's easy for the environmental department to give permit. Someone powerful might be at the back. Quarrying and mining destroy the mountains too. You can spot them by zooming in on Google Maps or Google Earth.

So it means, these disasters happen due to corruption as well. Not only the substandard flood controls rather corruption of the environment. Now, people becomes the victims.

Thursday

Got to wake up around 2am again. For two consecutive dawns, I was awakened by quite strong winds. It maybe the northeast monsoon or effect of the strong typhoon which battered the central Philippines. Now, the sun is up but we shouldn't be complacent because of the coming new typhoon.

Exercise Walk Again

I got to go out for exercise walk again with my sister. We went further to the Capitol Grounds this time, compared to the recent exercise walk we had.
