Recently, Typhoon Uwan has ravaged our province being one of its paths. The weather disturbance was even classified as supertyphoon going above 200 kph, and its vast size covers more than half of our country, which is an archipelago.

My wife and I, along with our brother evacuated at my sister's house because it's much safer there. Besides, it's better to be with your family during the difficult time.

As expected, the typhoon is so strong. It added to my trauma which I had experienced three strong typhoons in our province in decades. My anxiety level is so high during the entire time the strong winds are blowing. When the typhoon was done, I planned of going out to see the devastation. However, the flood is to high due to strong rains, high tide, and storm surges. Hence, we're able to go out after two days.

Here are what I saw as I walked from Maramba Boulevard Park to the beach. These areas are just within the vicinity right where we live, actually less than 1 kilometer.

Bushes and young trees are badly affected.

The trees are already cut, but they blocked the road right after the typhoon.

The tree was uprooted. Bricks of the pavement was badly damaged. Not that easy to walk in.

That small tree almost fell from the bridge (to the river).

Small trees covered the walkways. This is still in Maramba Boulevard.

In the Capitol grounds, many trees are uprooted too, either young or old ones. Winds are stronger here because it faces the beach.

So many trash around. Actually, they came from the drainages which is connected to the sea. Now, the nature has thrown back those trash to land. Sounds like nature's revenge to us, humans.

The Baywalk was buried by sand for several feet. The life-sized "See Pangasinan" characters were more than half buried.

The sea doesn't look good. They already piled a lot of sand there at the shores, and still many to come.

The typhoon has really caused so much pain for us humans, but the nature was treated badly by the latter. We still have time to save the nature. However, it's difficult when those rulers are so corrupt.
