I used to look up at the really fantastic brickwork at Charing Cross when I lived in London a couple of decades ago, some remnants of the real industrial age was even still surviving, like really dirty and messy car workshops under the bridges :-)

Oh, and also my first visit to England and London for a day was in 83 I think?
Back then it was totally the same world as you see here :-)
