30k Coins are launched on PUMPFUN everyday

If you don't know pumpFun, then I'll let you know now, it's the headquarters of memes, and basically where people launch memes are hope people can buy them, so they can rug it.

If you're wondering what crypto would be without the bull market, then welcome to the chaos.

Crypto community and projects that were really active in 2024/25 are honestly no less longer active, the ones that made a lot of money from fees, marketing and hype have shut down, but there are still some that are currently standing.

Crypto is the wild West, and for a tech that promises so much all we have had are founders that are very greedy, and criminal cutthroats who just wants to rug their community. Now the market is hot as profitable as it used to, and all these scam coins and projects are no longer operating.

Let us even begin to look at coins that were launched in 2024/25, like $TRUMP and $MELANIE, by Trump and his wife. This coin generated so much hype that you'll think it might mean a lot to Donald Trump beyond the money.

You'd think because of his reputation that the coin may be credible and maybe in the future that can slap some use cases on it, but this hasn't been the case so far. When this coin was launched, I looked or searched for a use case beyond the hype and Trump looking to make his insiders very rich, and there was honestly nothing.

Now I'm not saying this coin is dead, infact, from the current price it could do a potential x20 to x50 in 2028, and people are going to make profit from buying and selling it, but what is the use case?

What else or why will a regular normie buy it except for the money, how it it adding transformational value to crypto and what part does it play in onboarding the masses into crypto?

Well if you asked, then it's absolutely nothing. This isn't because I think the price is low. On the contrary the FDV is honestly looking decent even though the market has nearly bottomed, but what do we need from it, what do we gain by having it, and what does it do for retail except extract value and enriching folks who are already rich?

Absolutely nothing.

Now this isn't even me blaming Trump alone, I think the capacity for innovation in crypto is being exchanged for something more ephemeral.

No one wants to build a twitch that runs on a crypto chain, no one is looking at a crypto bank that easily morphs with traditional bank, no one is looking to build the extra layer of security that smart contracts needs to stops DEFI protocols from getting hacked.

There are millions of things to build, but no one is interested in building it. Builders from whatever hell hole they're coming from are just building, shipping ICOs that are extractive and waiting for the token generation event to sell their token. This isn't to say there agent a lot of crypto projects that are providing value.

For example, I know a guy that's been posting one protocol on the chain for over 5 years now, and he still talks about this protocol being his favorite project asides from Hive. If we take a moment to look away from price, we'd see that no place like Hive offers social freedom without restrictions or rules that takes away your ability to earn or be heard, and there's no place like this chain.

Builders over scammers

If a crypto rookie like me understand that there's a lot to be built in crypto and even have a little idea of techs to that can be built to help the regular crypto users who either just saves their money in USDT or something like that.

It's the wild west and the lack of innovation is just saddening, and let us just say I already have my plans at the back of my mind. Technically shipping new tech is how a meta can continue to stay relevant.

On pumpFun over 30k meme coins are printed everyday and degenerates and gamblers are just creating rubbish hype and stealing from people who are willing to buy into their lies.

In the past people used to say you needed a narrative to pump the market, I think the market can pump without narratives, but these pumps needs to be sustained by apps that can actually keep attracting that value, this is why I think the welfare of crypto in 30 to 50 years from now depends on the builders that are onboarded into this space, absolutely nothing else.

PumpFun can bring to market a make or brake it kind of crypto project. The name of the game is hype so it is hard to distinguish between a token that is not a pump and dump, but rather has a long mission with strong holders and supporters. I wanted to give it a go at some point, but than knowing that 1 in 1000000 succeeds, I preferred investing my money elsewhere. But probably in the bull market will shine again...

I think in the bull run there's no harm trying it. The reason is because during the bull run, people can afford to lose money, because they have reserves and can make it back. In th bear market it's a about making choices that actually prepare you to make profit in the bull run.

eso de "For example, I know a guy that's been posting one protocol o..." conecta con lo que venimos diciendo sobre acumulación institucional.

I have heard about it a bit before, and I think it's just pure gambling. I do think that it is slightly more innovative/creative, though, as people need to be to stand out.

Yes, it's mostly about gambling though. It's shocking because people just jump in. Create coins and hoping to use it to scam others. It's the wild west out there.
