I think a lot of people have given up because the price of Steem has gone down. They forget it's an investment and the price of crypto and any stock for that matter will always fluctuate. Hang in there! Any other social media will pay you zilch!

With regards to the blogs, don't forget, most big bloggers in our neck of the woods are probably at steemfest2 right now and not on steemit so I wouldn't worry about lack of visitors or upvotes, they are all just sat together in Portugal (I think) getting drunk and having deep conversations about cryptocurrency! Hopefully everything will be back to normal soon and they will bring with them some inspiration for us all to share :) xx
Would be sorry to see you go karen but I know exactly what you're feeling. I think 20 hardforks down the road we have to realise that steem lost sight of its vision. Many of our core values are gone including satisfaction of the users engaging within the community. The most successful users don't even interact as much and it's really disheartening that they've found ways to reward less valuable behaviours the highest at the expense of our most valuable people.
Every time this happens people blame the price of steem which I find funny because the price of steem in my opinion is going down for the same reason people are leaving. Money constantly going to the same hands making the game rigged and creating zero demand for steem.
I am glad someone else can see what i see is happening. Seems working hard on here isn't enough you have to have thousands to invest in steem, I invest a lot of hours on here its nearly a full time job the amount of time i was spending on here interacting with members now they stick you on a bot list and forget about you. I go on steemnow and watch the same thing happening to every post I make, the same people voting exactly at the same time with the same % doesnt matter if its a meme post or something I have worked hard on. I know I'm not as good as some writers but seeing some of them write 2 paragraphs about steem then earn hundreds every time you have to ask yourself is it fair. Having a downer at the minute, everything is making me mad lol. Thanks for replying :)
I have the same feeling as you do, but theres this called "challenge" might be just letting you know what a real life is or testing you If you can get through it. Don't give up and keep trying. Damn you have 69 rep and I'm just 40. You are actually way above me. Best of luck ^_^
you do not have to give up dear friend @ karenb54, remember that we have been in worse situations, I do not know your case but my first SBD you win after five months of work and you must remember that famous holder that we did not earn an SBD for a whole month .
Have faith and passion that everything will be better again.

Hang in there, @karenb54! Steemit can only be as good as the people who use it. And interaction is part of what holds it all together. It does seem like folks have drifted apart, once they start to count on auto upvotes from each other. Maybe there will be some good come out of discussions at SteemFest2. It's not just the big folks that are there.

I think a lot of it is what you are here for. Unlike apparently most people here I am here for the fun of it, meeting good people and not for the bucks.
The lack of readers/votes is a bit annoying, but then I think that it is their fault if they miss out on my BS.
I think the best thing would be to get rid of all bots, make people actually read what has been written, that way the more time you put in the better the return, it must be one of the few places where "Nerds" who can use modern stuff win.

Get rid of bots. That's the most sensible thing I have heard :)
