MY MATCH INTRO
Division 5 bout 6 out of 10 and I was already tired before kickoff not gonna lie šš„± I was playing against AI and I needed this win bad because Iāve been dropping points in Division 5 and if I lose 2 more Iām going back to 6. Loaded in as United in the red kit vs AI in green and the first half was just stress. AI was pressing me high and I was making stupid mistakes. Then it happened around the mid first half, Diouf got the ball in my box and had a big miss. Like he was through on goal, one on one with the keeper and he just blasted it wide. I was shouting at the screen because that shouldāve been 1-0 to them. But because he missed, the ball bounced out and Rooney was right there. I didnāt even think, I just hit shoot and Rooney directed it straight back to the post and it went in. 1-0. I was lucky as hell because that was supposed to be their goal. Rooney just bailed me out and I ran to celebrate like I planned it.
Second half came and AI started playing better than me. I was getting pressed and my passes were all over the place. I kept losing the ball in midfield with Gerrard and Fletcher and I could feel the equalizer coming. Then at like 60 plus minutes the auto sub kicked in and brought on Drogba. I didnāt even do the sub manually, the game just did it for me AGAINT Diouf who was still on for AI. Soon as Drogba came on he was a problem. I played it to him on the edge of the box, he held off 2 defenders and just smashed it. 2-0. Thatās what I call a super sub. The game literally told me āyou need a goalā and gave me Drogba to do it. After that I thought the game was done and I started playing calm. But nah.
Then I did the most stupid thing and gave them a goal for free. I was trying to play out from the back and I meant to hit pass but I miss touched and hit through ball instead. The pass went straight to their striker and before I could even switch to a defender he was through and scored. 2-1. I was so mad because that was 100% my fault. Miss touch cost me a clean sheet and made the last 10 minutes stressful. AI started coming at me waves after that goal. They had shots with Messi and Nedved but my defense somehow held. Every time I got the ball I was just clearing it and wasting time because I didnāt want to make another mistake.
The last 15 minutes felt like 1 hour. I was just passing sideways with Van Basten and Rooney trying to kill the clock. AI brought everyone forward and I had to park the bus. Drogba was up top holding the ball and winning fouls so I could breathe. Diouf kept missing for them too which helped me a lot because if he scored that first chance this game wouldāve been different. My midfield was dead tired but I couldnāt sub anymore because I already used the auto sub. Every tackle with Gerrard felt important. The scoreboard said 2-1 for like 20 minutes and I was just praying the ref blows full time.
Full time 2-1 win and thatās bout 6 out of 10 in Division 5 done. Both my goals came from strikers, Rooney with the tap in after Diouf missed, and Drogba with the super sub goal right after he came on. Their only goal was because of me and that miss touch through pass. Iām not even proud of that part but a win is a win in Division 5. 3 points, Iām still in Division 5, and now I need 4 more wins to promote. Game was messy but Rooney and Drogba carried me. If Drogba didnāt come on at 60 minutes I probably wouldāve drawn that. On to bout 7 šŖ
