Your story here is common and sad:
Like the time I proposed a slight adjustment to the way we were tracking assignments at work. It was not exactly a revolutionary idea, just a minor tweak. People ignored and overlooked the idea and kept going. Later, the same idea was proposed by the boss and because it was the boss they had no choice than to implement it.
People don't listen to nobody, no matter how sensible your ideas are. And yet they listen to ridiculous ideas when uttered by people in position.

Yes that's the saddest part, power whether it's right or wrong is what the people follow and I wish it was different 😔
