Daily Prompt | Bean Stew
When Jack grabbed the bag of magic beans and fled with them before the giant could even move his lips to warn him, it was already too late, and the giant only wished that what had happened to him so many years ago would not happen to the boy.
He sat in his enormous armchair and with a melancholy sigh remembered when he was a kid, barely a little younger than Jack, and found the Magic Beanstalk.
Just like the boy who had just fled, he too felt curious and he too climbed up through the clouds until he found himself in that impossible world.
And just like Jack, he took the bag of beans despite the warning sign that read Danger - Do not touch and went home happy to show them to his mother, who immediately made a bean stew.
The giant thought sadly that it would have been better if the sign had said "Danger - Do not eat," and then none of what happened to him would have happened, and he could have gone on living in his little house with his parents and siblings.
Cuando Jack tomó la bolsa de guisantes mágicos y huyó con ellos antes de que el gigante pudiera siquiera mover los labios para advertirle, ya era demasiado tarde, y el gigante sólo deseó que no le pasara lo que le pasó a él tantos años atrás.

Y así como Jack, tomó la bolsa de guisantes a pesar de que tenía un cartel de advertencia que decía Peligro - No tocar y bajó feliz a enseñarselos a su madre, que enseguida preparó un estofado de guisantes.
Pensó con tristeza el gigante que hubiera sido mejor que el cartel dijese "Peligro - No comer" y así no le hubiera pasado todo lo que le pasó y así podría haber seguido viviendo en su pequeña casa con sus padres y hermanos.
